Every session is personally guided and adapted to your experience, the season and the prevailing river conditions. All guided river fishing is strictly catch and release.
Guided Pontoon Drifts
A unique guided session on approximately two kilometres of low-pressure water on a private section of the Ash River. Deep channels, submerged trees and structure hold exceptional rainbow and brown trout that cannot be reached effectively from the bank.

Walk-and-Wade Fishing
Explore the Ash River, Caledon River and Little Caledon River on foot with a dedicated guide, targeting rainbow trout and smallmouth yellowfish. A maximum of two anglers per guide keeps every session personal.

Casting Lessons
Private one-hour lessons on grass or suitable still water near the shop, for complete beginners and experienced anglers who want to improve their technique. The R500 fee covers one or two participants and includes the use of rods, reels and lines.
Available lesson slots are confirmed instantly online. No deposit is required - the fee is payable on arrival.
Equipment Rental
Complete fly-fishing outfits are available as an optional add-on to any guided fishing booking at R650 per angler per session. The guide selects and prepares the most suitable outfit for the trip.
Equipment Rental DetailsHow guided bookings work
- Request your preferred date and session online. No payment is taken and the session is held for you.
- Approval - Josh reviews the request and may suggest another date, time or river if conditions require it.
- Deposit - a 50% deposit invoice follows approval. The date is held for 24 hours while awaiting payment.
- Confirmed - your confirmation and preparation details are sent once the deposit is received. The balance is payable on arrival.
